How to get your real estate license

Your first step to becoming a real estate agent is to pass the Florida State Licensing Exam.

I’ve listed a few great schools below.

The course you need to take is the 63 hour pre-licensing course.

This course goes by a few different names, such as:
– 63 Hour Sales Associate Pre-Licensing Course
– 63 Hour Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course

As long as the course you choose includes the words ‘Florida’ and ‘63 hour’ and is recognized by FREC, you’ve chosen the right course:
– Florida (Each state has its own rules for selling real estate.)
– 63 hour (There are many courses you can take to advance your real estate career. The 63 hour course is the course you need to pass to become licensed as a real estate agent.)
– FREC (The course you choose must be recognized by the Florida Real Estate Commission. All the schools listed on this website have FREC approved courses.)

Online or classroom?

Online

Choosing to study online allows you to study at your own pace. You have access to a teacher via email, but there are no tips from the teacher on how to pass the course. It is a less expensive option than participating in an in person class.

In person

Studying in a classroom environment can be much quicker, the teacher gives you tips on how to pass the course and you get to meet other students, but it is a more expensive option. Classroom courses usually take around a week to complete.
